Remote work? Not me.....

Remote work has been a hot topic recently in my life. I did some oral survey in our company restaurant, most people like half remote work and half office work. Those people who never show up in site since March, I guess they prefer remote work. However, I am an absolute office work supporter. I appreciate that our site meets most people’s needs, so I can now come to our laboratory and my office.

I read a book called “How to Win Friends and Influence People”, which was written by Dale Carnegie, when I was freshman in university. Some of my colleagues are the best examples of how to win friends and influence people, interacting with them is like dessert in life, which I would say we could not gain it through remote work.

Furthermore, I try to separate my work and personal life, staying at home should be relaxing and casual. It demands more self-discipline to work at home, I need to control myself not to eat and sleep anytime that I want, I also need to motivate myself to do sports.

In this difficult time, I am glad that everyone finds their own ways to survive. “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies” (The Shawshank Redemption), I hope everything will be back to normal in the foreseen future.
